About Us

Madurai Jewellers and Bullion Merchants Association was founded by Hon’ble Eminent Jeweller Sri R. Ramanathan Chettiar in 1944 with 50 Members.

The Association was headed by various eminent jewellery legends, followed by Mr. M. Balasubramanian as Hon’ble President from 1998. Today Madurai Jewellers & Bullion Merchants Association has grown as multi-faceted with 1,572 members. He is also the Hon’ble President of Tamilnadu Gem & Jewellery Federation. Madurai Jewellers & Bullion Merchants Association has a ability to draw not only its members but also members of other jewellery associations in Tamilnadu. MJBMA is the first ISO certified jewellers association
